Requirements.

Requirements and Methods for VAH certification of chemical disinfection procedures

VAH publishes a detailed description of laboratory tests and methods for efficacy testing of disinfectants and disinfection processes for hands, skin, surfaces, instruments, and textiles in addition to the specific requirements for VAH certification and listing of disinfectants for all activity spectrums and fields of application.

Ring trials.

2024/25
We are offering another ring trial at short notice (2024-03). The registration deadline is 27 December 2024. This is about the method validation of EN 1500:2017-10 for the determination of the bactericidal activity against E. coli with a shortened contact time of 15 s. Please contact the VAH ring trial office for further information (vah-ringtrial@ukbonn.de). Participation is free of charge. This ring trial will start on 6 January 2025 and is expected to end on 31 March 2025

2025 we offer three ring trials:

2025-01: February until April 2025, EN 16615/VAH method 14.2 with Candida albicans. Registration deadline: 14 February 2025.
2025-02: June until August 2025, EN 14563 with Mycobacterium terrae. Registration deadline: 23 May 2025.
2025-03: September until November 2025, EN 17387/VAH-Methode 14.1 with Staphylococcus aureus. Registration deadline: 1 September 2025.

Deadline for the annual subscription: 14 February 2025.
